MedicalCodeSearch started as a single question: why is it so hard to find out what a CPT code actually means without buying access to a professional coding database? The site grew from a code lookup into four tools and a set of guides covering ICD-10, CPT, EOBs and modifiers, all built to answer that one question quickly.
The Code Lookup covers a curated set of common ICD-10 and CPT codes. The Nurse Staffing Ratio Calculator checks a unit's staffing against common benchmarks. The Dosage Calculator handles weight-based dose and concentration math. The Medical Billing Calculator estimates patient responsibility on a charge. Around those four tools sit seven guides that explain the coding and billing system itself: how to look up a code, how ICD-10 and CPT differ, what a modifier does, and how to read an EOB line by line.

Each calculator's formulas and reference figures are documented on its own page, so you can see exactly what number produced a given result. When a rate, a code set, or a staffing benchmark changes, we update the source figures rather than leaving a stale calculator online. None of these tools are a substitute for the official ICD-10 or CPT code sets, a certified coder, or a pharmacist for anything involving a real patient or a real claim.
