MedicalCodeSearch is built around four calculators: a code lookup, a nurse staffing ratio tool, a dosage calculator and a billing estimator. None of them need an account, and this page explains exactly what happens to the numbers you type into them.
The ICD-10 search box, the CPT lookup, the staffing ratio fields, the dosage inputs and the billing estimator all run their math in your browser using JavaScript. A charge amount, a patient count, a weight in kilograms, a drug concentration: none of it is sent to our servers, logged, or stored anywhere. Close the tab and the numbers are gone. There is no account system, so there is nothing tied to your identity in the first place.
Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested) for security and reliability. We also use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to see which calculators get used and which articles get read, aggregated across visitors rather than tied to one person. You can block this in your browser's cookie or tracking settings without breaking any of the tools.
The banner at the bottom of the page lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Declining does not disable any calculator; it only limits analytics and ad personalization. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage, not sent to us.
This site is supported by Google AdSense, which may set cookies or use similar technology to show ads that are more relevant to you, based on your browsing across sites. You can review and adjust ad personalization through Google's own account settings and ad controls. We do not pass any code-lookup or calculator input to the ad network.
Because the tools here are reference calculators rather than patient-record systems, we do not ask for or store names, dates of birth, medical record numbers, or any other identifying health information. If you are billing or documenting real patient care, that work belongs in your practice's own compliant systems, not in a browser tool like this one.
A portion of the outbound links on this site are affiliate links. If you click through and make a purchase or sign up for a service, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes which calculators we build or how the math works.
